We want Rollspelsbok to feel like a book you open in peace — not like a page that watches you back. This text describes what we actually collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect.

When you create an account we store your email address and an encrypted password. We use the email to sign you in and to contact you if something important happens with your account.

When you read and play we store your progress, your choices, your characters and dice outcomes so you can continue where you left off — on the same device or another. We also store basic preferences such as language and chosen narrator voice.

Like any website, our server receives technical logs — IP address, browser, timestamp — used for security, debugging and to keep abuse at bay. Those logs are cleared regularly.

What we use it for. Running the service. Saving your reading. Protecting the account. Nothing else.

Cookies and local storage. We use technical cookies for login and language preference. Some of your reading progress and temporary choices are also stored locally in the browser (localStorage) so you can keep reading even if the connection drops — important for offline mode. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, and we have no ad networks involved.

Sharing. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with third parties for marketing. If we use providers to run the service (for example transactional email or voice synthesis), it happens with appropriate safeguards.

Retention. As long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and reading history are deleted with it. Technical logs are cleared within a limited number of months.

Your rights. You have the right to know what we've stored about you, to ask for a copy, to correct mistakes, and to ask us to delete your account. Write to [email protected] and we'll take care of it.

Data security. We use encryption where it's reasonable (HTTPS, hashed passwords), server-side access controls, and regular backups. No system is watertight, but we treat your data with respect.

Questions about your data or this policy: [email protected].
